Creating a Client Barcode
The system allows you to assign a barcode to each client, which can then be used to quickly search for and select them on invoices, sales orders, estimates, and POS orders by scanning the barcode or typing it manually.
Steps to Create a Client Barcode
- From the main menu, click “Clients”, then “Manage Clients.”
- Find the required client and click “Edit” next to them.
- In the client edit form, locate the “Barcode” field.
- Enter the barcode value manually, or click the auto-generate button to create a unique barcode automatically.
- Click “Save” to save the changes.
Notes
- The barcode must be unique for each client, if a duplicate barcode is assigned to more than one client, multiple results will appear when searching and the user will be asked to select manually.
- Clients with no barcode assigned will not appear in barcode search results.
- Once the barcode is assigned, it can be used in the client search field on invoices, sales orders, estimates, and the POS order screen.
