A product with sizes/colors — why did it appear as separate products?

Based on the sync mechanism described in this guide, a variant product (such as one with sizes or colors) should appear in Salla as a single product containing multiple variants underneath it, rather than as entirely separate products.

If your product appears as separate products instead of grouped variants under one product, the most likely reason is:

  • The product didn’t originate from Salla in the first place: The variant sync behavior described in this guide applies exclusively to variant products created in the system as a result of a prior Salla → the system sync. If the product was instead created directly within the system (not via Salla), syncing its variants correctly to Salla is not currently supported under this behavior, which may explain why it appears as separate products.

The underlying user stories for this feature don’t directly address the “variants appearing as separate products” scenario in detail. If you’re experiencing this specific issue with a product that originally came from Salla and was synced into the system, it’s recommended to contact support to review the case, as this may be an exceptional situation requiring direct inspection of the product data.
