How do I send a manager a reminder before an employee’s probation period ends?
You can configure an automatic notification that reaches the employee’s direct manager a set number of days before the probation end date through the Contract Notification Settings. Follow these steps:
- From the main menu navigate to “Payroll“.
- Click “Settings” then click the “Contract Notifications” tab.
- In the “Probation Notification Settings” section enter the number of days in the “Duration (in days)” field.
- Click “Save“.
After saving the system automatically sends a notification to the employee’s direct manager — via the web portal, mobile app, and email — on the configured day before the probation end date. The email includes the employee’s name, job title, department, probation end date, days remaining, and a link to the employee’s profile.
Note: The notification is sent to the direct manager set in the employee’s profile. If no direct manager is assigned it is sent to the department manager instead. Make sure the probation end date is set in the employee’s profile, otherwise no notification will be sent.
