Integrations and Connections with Other Systems and Apps
The system offers more than one way to connect your account with external systems and apps: ready-made apps activated from the App Store, a connection via the Zapier platform to link your account with thousands of other apps, and a public, documented Application Programming Interface (API) that any developer can use to build a fully custom integration. This guide explains each method, and when to choose each one.
🛈
Note: the list of ready-made apps in the App Store keeps changing and expanding; it’s always more accurate to check the store directly from within your account to see everything currently available for your line of business and country.
Ready-Made Apps via the App Store
The “Apps Manager” holds a collection of ready-made apps for automatic connection with your account, the most notable of which are e-commerce store connector apps such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and Salla, which let you automatically import and sync orders between your online store and your account.
Steps to Activate an App from the Store
- From within your account, click the Settings menu.
- Click “Apps Manager.”
- Click the “Manage External Apps” button.
- Click the “Go to App Store” button to browse all apps.
- Browse the available apps or search for the one you want, then click “Install.”
- If the app needs additional settings, a form appears for you to fill in first before activation.
- For most apps, you’re then taken to an authorization page to confirm linking your account with the app, after which you’re automatically returned to the system with the app activated.
- You can later temporarily disable any app, or uninstall it entirely, from the same Apps Manager screen.
Connecting via Zapier
The system also lets you connect to the Zapier platform, which allows transactions added in your account (such as creating a new invoice) to be linked to thousands of other apps supported on Zapier, without writing any code. This type of connection is separate from the regular apps in the App Store, and has its own connection mechanism carried out through Zapier itself after linking your account to it.
Connecting via the Application Programming Interface (API)
If the system you want to connect with isn’t available as a ready-made app in the store and isn’t supported on Zapier, the system provides a public, documented Application Programming Interface (API) that any developer can use to build a fully custom integration. The interface covers most of the core forms in your account, the most important of which are: invoices and quotations, clients and suppliers, products and inventory, treasuries and payments, and journal entries and their accounting accounts.
- Full interactive documentation for the API is available directly, along with a ready-made collection to try out requests directly before starting actual development.
- Connecting to the interface is done via an access key (Bearer Token) specific to your account.
- As the account owner, or any employee with a “Super Admin” role, you can create your own API keys yourself from the account settings.
- You can view and test the system’s API data through the system API link.
- If you don’t have an in-house technical team, you can hire an independent developer or an external software company to build the required integration based on this public documentation and your account’s API keys; the system team itself does not build custom integrations with third-party systems on behalf of customers.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can the system be connected to my store on Shopify, WooCommerce, or Salla? Yes, directly through the App Store.
- Can I connect with an app that isn’t in the App Store? First try whether the app is supported on Zapier, and if not, a custom integration can be built via the Application Programming Interface (API).
- Who can create an API key? The account owner, or any employee with a “Super Admin” role.
- Does the system team build the custom integration for me? No, but you can assign the task to an independent developer or a software company based on the API’s public documentation.
