What does the red warning triangle in the Invoice Net Position Report indicate?
The red warning triangle appears next to the invoice number when the Net value is negative, meaning the returns exceed the invoice’s gross amount.
- The Net is calculated using the formula: Net = Gross − Returns, where:
- Gross = Invoice amount + sum of linked Debit Notes.
- Returns = sum of linked Refunds (paid or unpaid) + sum of linked Credit Notes (absolute value).
- Hovering over the icon displays a tooltip that reads: “Net negative — returns exceed gross amount.”
Note: this warning does not prevent you from viewing or working with the invoice; it’s simply a visual indicator prompting you to manually review the invoice, since the amount returned to the customer exceeded the invoice’s actual value.
