Inventory Transactions Summary Report

Report Overview

The Inventory Transactions Summary Report displays all incoming and outgoing movements for each product over a selected period, categorized by transaction source such as purchase invoices, sales, returns, transfers, and manual adjustments. This report is used to monitor inventory movement, analyze reasons for changes in product balances, and verify the balance between incoming and outgoing transactions during any given period.

How to Access the Report

  1. Go to the Reports menu, then select Store Reports.
  2. Click on Inventory Transactions Summary.
  3. You can apply several filters before displaying the report:
  • Date Range:

    • Last Year: Displays movements from the past 12 months.

    • You can also manually adjust the period using From – To fields.

  • Type: Filter to display movements of a specific type only. Default is [Any Type].

  • Warehouse: Select a specific warehouse to view movements for its products only. Default is Primary Warehouse.

  • Product: Select a specific product to display its movements only (search by name or code).

  • Category: Filter results to display products of a specific category only.

After setting your filters, click Search to update the results, or click Clear Filters to return to default settings.

You can print the report using Print, or export it via Export Options to:

  • CSV

  • Excel

  • PDF

Report Columns

The table displays inventory movements for each product divided into two main groups: Inward and Outward, with a Total Transactions column. Columns are organized as follows:

Product Name

The name of the product as registered in the system, with a direct link to view full product details.

Inward

Shows quantities added to inventory from each source:

  • Purchase Invoices: Quantities received through purchase invoices.
  • Refund Receipts: Quantities returned from customers.
  • Transfer: Quantities received via stock transfers between warehouses.
  • Manual: Quantities added through manual adjustments or stock permissions.
  • Total: The sum of all inward quantities.

Outward

Shows quantities removed from inventory from each source (displayed as negative values):

  • Sales Invoices: Quantities sold to customers.
  • Purchase Refund: Quantities returned to suppliers.
  • Transfer: Quantities moved out via stock transfers.
  • Manual: Quantities deducted through manual adjustments, manufacturing orders, or stock permissions.
  • Total: The sum of all outward quantities.

Total Transactions

Represents the net change in product balance during the selected period (Inward – Outward):

  • A positive value indicates an increase in inventory.
  • A negative value indicates a decrease.
  • This column includes a direct link to view detailed transactions for the product.
