View Invoice Payments and Assigned Advance Payments in the Invoice Net Position Report
The Invoice Net Position report shows the payments and advance payments assigned to each invoice, as lines under the invoice itself. Each line shows the payment or advance payment number, date, and value, so you can see when each part of the invoice amount was paid and from which document.

What Appears in the Payment Lines
- Payments and advance payments appear under the invoice regardless of the filters applied, as long as the invoice itself appears in the report. For example, if you set a date range, all the invoice payments appear, even if a payment date is outside that range.
- Only completed payments appear.
- Advance payments saved as drafts do not appear.
- Advance payments appear only if the Enable Advance Payment setting is enabled.
FAQs
Why does a payment dated outside the filter date range appear?
Because the filters apply to invoices only. If the invoice appears in the report, all the payments and advance payments assigned to it appear.
Why doesn’t a payment appear under the invoice?
Because the payment is not completed. Only completed payments appear.
