Update Leave Balance
You can individually update an employee’s leave balance without changing the leave policy or affecting the rest of the employees. This feature is useful for making adjustments based on special cases, such as granting additional leave days, correcting errors, or carrying over unused leave from a previous period. The update can be done directly from the employee’s profile, ensuring accurate and flexible leave management.
Click on “Attendance“, scroll down to find the “Leave Balance” section, then click “Update Credit“.
The system will direct you to the leave balance editing page, where you can adjust the employee’s leave balance. From there, you can add or deduct leave days, specify the reason for the adjustment, and save the changes to ensure accurate record-keeping.
In the following example, the employee “Jack” has no remaining casual leave, as he has already used his full casual balance of 6 days, as shown in the image below.
If we assume that the employee has two remaining days from the previous cycle, we will add them to the current cycle’s balance. Additionally, we have noted in the notes section that two days have been carried over from the previous cycle.
Now, click on the “Save” button.
Returning to the employee’s profile, we can see that the casual leave balance is now 8 days, with 2 days remaining, along with the clarifying note we added for reference.
