Adding a Leave Type
Add a leave type, such as regular, casual, etc., and determine its nature, the maximum usage per year, and whether obtaining it requires prior permission or not. In addition to other settings.
- Note: Before you start, make sure to activate the Employee Attendance app in your account.
How to add a leave type
- From the main menu, click on “Attendance“.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Click on the card labeled “Leave Types“.
- Click on the button “New Leave Type“.
- Enter the leave type information as follows:
- Name: Enter the desired name
- Color: Choose a color for the leave type from the available colors to distinguish it from other leave types
- Description: Enter a description for the leave type as needed
- Max Days Allowed Per Year: Determine the maximum number of days an employee can take off with this type during the year
- Maximum Continuous Days Applicable: Determine the maximum number of days an employee can consecutively take off with this type
- Applicable After: Define the period (in days) after which this type of leave can be applied to an employee, calculated from the employee’s joining date to the company
- Needs permission: Check this box if permission is required to use this type of leave
- Override weekend off days with leave: Click on this checkbox to replace weekend off days with the specified type of leave.
- Click on the “Save” button.
