Does deleting an expense affect the journal entries and treasury?
\Yes. Deleting an expense is a final action and cannot be undone, and its effect is reflected directly on the journal accounts (journal entries) and treasury balances linked to that expense.
When you tap Delete from the “More Options” menu (whether from the Expenses List screen or from the Expense Details screen), a confirmation message appears showing:
- The number of the expense to be deleted.
- An explicit warning that the action cannot be undone, and that it will be reflected in the journal entries and treasury.
After confirming the deletion by tapping Delete:
- The expense is permanently deleted, and no longer appears in the Expenses List.
- The related journal entries and treasury balances are updated immediately.
If you tap “Cancel” instead, the confirmation message closes without any changes, and the expense remains as is.
