Enabling the Cash Drawer from Android Devices

The system allows you to enable the automatic cash drawer opening feature when printing from Android devices through the dedicated printer application.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure you have a compatible printer that supports the Cash Drawer feature.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the Android device.

Step 1: Download the Printer Application

  1. Open the “Google Play Store” on the Android device.
  2. Search for the dedicated printer application, download, and install it.

Step 2: Connect the Printer to the Device

  1. Open the printer application.
  2. Connect the printer to the device via “Bluetooth” from within the application.
  3. Make sure the connection between the device and the printer is complete before proceeding.

Step 3: Enable the Cash Drawer Feature

  1. From within the printer application click “Check Printer Operations“.
  2. Click “Demonstration“.
  3. Click “Edit Receipt and Print“.
  4. Check the “Auto Cut” checkbox to enable automatic receipt cutting.
  5. Check the “Drawer” checkbox to enable automatic cash drawer opening when printing.
  6. Save the settings and perform a test print to confirm the feature is working.

Notes

  • The printer must be connected to the device via Bluetooth before enabling any settings.
  • If the cash drawer does not open after activation make sure the printer and the Android device are properly connected and that the printer supports this feature.
