The differences between bookings and regular appointments are:<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Appointments are linked to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/tutorial\/edit-appointment-action-list\/\">actions<\/a>, while Bookings are linked to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/user_manual\/adding-a-new-product-or-a-new-service\/\">services<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Bookings generate invoices, automatic journal entries, and appear in the &#8220;<strong>Chart of Accounts<\/strong>&#8220;, while &#8220;<strong>Appointments<\/strong>&#8221; do not.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">In the &#8220;<strong>Appointments<\/strong>&#8220;, you can select any time and assign it to any employee, while &#8220;<strong>Bookings<\/strong>&#8221; are restricted to the employee\u2019s work shifts, and the service must be assigned to that employee to book it.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Clients can book services themselves online, but they cannot set appointments; they can only view their scheduled appointments.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">The interface and layout of the &#8220;<strong>Appointments<\/strong>&#8221; screen differ from the &#8220;<strong>Bookings<\/strong>&#8221; screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Viewing the system as a client&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h2|font_size:28|text_align:center|color:%2304306b|line_height:2&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1756624365726{margin-left: 200px !important;background-color: #f6f9fc !important;border-radius: 4px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1756625412542{margin-left: 200px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">To preview the steps as they appear to the client, go to &#8220;<strong>Manage Clients<\/strong>&#8221; under &#8220;<strong>Clients<\/strong>&#8221; in the main menu.
