You can select more than one note for the same item, and each note appears on its own line under the product. If no matching note is found, the message <strong>No result found<\/strong>\u00a0appears; click <strong>+ Add New Note<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;148790&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The <strong>Add New Note<\/strong> window opens with the text you typed, and you can edit it (up to 50 characters). Then choose:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Add<\/strong>: Adds the note to this item only. The message &#8220;Note added&#8221; appears, the note shows under the product in the cart, and it appears among the notes with a delete icon to remove it. This note isn&#8217;t saved to the pre-defined notes, so it won&#8217;t appear in future orders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Add &amp; Save<\/strong>: Adds the note to the item and saves it to the pre-defined notes, so it appears in future orders. This option requires the &#8220;Manage POS Line Notes Library&#8221; permission; without it, the message &#8220;You are not allowed to access this page&#8221; appears, so use <strong>Add<\/strong> instead.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;148792&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Fourth: Print the Note on the Kitchen Ticket and Customer Invoice&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|font_size:22|text_align:left|color:%2304306b|line_height:1.8&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 7: Kitchen ticket<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">If you use Multi Printing to send orders to a kitchen printer, the note prints under each item on the kitchen ticket, so the kitchen knows how to prepare the order. Items without notes print as usual.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 8: Print the invoice for the customer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When you complete the order, the invoice preview window appears with each item&#8217;s notes under its line. If an item has more than one note, they print on one line separated by commas. To review them, go to <strong>Sales<\/strong> \u2192 <strong>Manage Invoices<\/strong> and open the invoice; the notes appear under the item. Notes can&#8217;t be edited after the order is completed.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;148800&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Sixth: Show the Note in Invoice Print Templates&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:h3|font_size:22|text_align:left|color:%2304306b|line_height:1.8&#8243; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 10: Add notes to the invoice print template<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">From the side menu, click <strong>Templates<\/strong>, then <strong>Printable Templates<\/strong>, and open the invoice template you want to edit. Then open the <strong>Item Columns<\/strong>\u00a0tab and choose one of two columns:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Item with Note<\/strong>: Replaces the item column and shows the item name with its notes below it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Item Notes<\/strong>: A separate column that shows the notes only, placed after the item name or after the description if there is one.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Then click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;148803&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_message message_box_style=&#8221;3d&#8221; message_box_color=&#8221;alert-warning&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Important Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Adding the same product again increases the quantity of the same item, and its note stays as is and applies to the whole quantity.<\/li>\n<li>Editing or deleting a pre-defined note doesn&#8217;t change previous orders; each order keeps the note text as it was when it was created.<\/li>\n<li>A note added with the &#8220;Add&#8221; button applies to the current order only and won&#8217;t appear in future orders.
