In this article, we will specifically focus on the first method, \u201cSerial Number<\/strong>\u201d.   1. From the main menu, click on\u00a0\u201cInventory\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Select from the dropdown menu \u201cInventory Settings\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Click on the\u00a0\u201cGeneral\u201d<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n
  4. Activate the setting for\u00a0\u201cTrack Products Using Serial, Lot or Expiry Date\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  5. Click on the\u00a0\u201cSave\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    First, go to \u201cInventory<\/strong>\u201d from the main menu, then choose \u201cParts and Services<\/strong>.\u201d Click on \u201cAdd<\/strong>,\u201d select \u201cNew Part<\/strong>\u201d, and you can refer to the \u201cAdd a new product<\/strong><\/a>\u201d guide to fill in the rest of the information.<\/p>\n

    In our illustrative example, we will add the \u201cCar Radiator<\/strong>\u201d product and fill in its basic details.<\/p>\n

    Now let\u2019s scroll down directly to the \u201cInventory Management<\/strong>\u201d field, to activate the \u201cStock Tracking<\/strong>\u201d option. Here, you will see all the available tracking methods and we’ll choose “Serial Number<\/strong>“.<\/div>\n

    Next, click on the \u201cAdd<\/strong>\u201d button and choose \u201cManual Inbound<\/strong>\u201d from the dropdown menu.<\/p>\n

    Fill in the data for the requisition as required. You can refer to the \u201cCreating a Manual Inbound Requisition<\/strong><\/a>\u201d to complete this step.<\/p>\n

    In the \u201cItems<\/strong>\u201d field, select the \u201cRadiator<\/strong>\u201d part that you want to add to the requisition with a serial number.<\/p>\n

    In the \u201cQuantity<\/strong>\u201d field, specify the quantity added for the \u201cRadiator<\/strong>\u201d product. Add the “Serial number<\/strong>” of the part in the box below the item.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Now click on “Confirm<\/strong>” to save the requisition.<\/p>\n

    Note: However, before doing this task, you should first make sure that \u201cEnable Requisitions for Purchases and Sales\u201d is not activated. If this option is activated, you must add the serial number from the requisition specific to the sales invoice, not directly from the sales invoice. <\/strong>You can refer to the \u201cRequisitions of Purchases & Sales<\/a>\u201d guide to complete this step.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This feature allows us to access the serial number of the product and know its purchase and sales invoices.<\/p>\n

    To display the movement of the \u201cRadiator<\/strong>\u201d product tracked by the serial number, we first click on \u201cInventory<\/strong>\u201d from the main menu, then click on \u201cPart Tracking<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

    A list of parts assigned with a tracking method “serial number<\/strong>”\u00a0will appear. Click on the \u201cRadiator<\/strong>” product to display its inventory movement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
