    Step 1: Select the Barcode Type<\/h2>\n

    1. Open Barcode Settings<\/strong> (under Inventory and Product Settings<\/strong>).<\/li>\n
    2. Under Barcode Type<\/strong>, select:\n
        \n
      • Code 128<\/strong> (default): Supports numbers and letters and is suitable for most businesses.<\/li>\n
      • EAN 13<\/strong>: A 13-digit number and the standard used on retail products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note:<\/strong> Select the barcode type that is compatible with your barcode scanner and labels before you start. This type determines how the barcode image is generated on all labels. For products sold by weight, review the Barcode with Embedded Weight<\/strong> settings on the same page.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

        Step 2: Add a Barcode Number to the Product<\/h2>\n
          \n
        1. Open Add Product<\/strong>, or edit an existing product from Products<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        2. In the Barcode<\/strong> field, choose one of the following methods:\n
            \n
          • Existing Product Barcode<\/strong>: Scan the barcode using a barcode scanner into the field, or enter it manually.<\/li>\n
          • Generate Barcode Automatically<\/strong>: Click the generate icon next to the field. The system generates a unique 13-digit number. If the field already contains a number, you will be asked to confirm replacing it with the message The value will be replaced<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • Save the product.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n

            Barcode for Each Unit of Measure<\/h3>\n

            If a product is sold in more than one unit (such as an individual item and a carton) and multiple units of measure are enabled, you can assign a different barcode to each unit:<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Click Multiple<\/strong> next to the Barcode<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
            2. In the Product Codes (Barcode)<\/strong> section, add the following for each unit: Unit Factor<\/strong>, Barcode<\/strong>, Quantity<\/strong>, and <\/span>Selling Price Per Unit<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
            3. Save the product.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Note:<\/strong> Unit barcodes must be entered manually; automatic generation is not available. You must specify the unit factor for each barcode. This option is not available for products tracked by serial numbers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

              Step 3: Design a Barcode Label Template<\/h2>\n
                \n
              1. From the main menu, click Templates<\/strong>, then Printable Templates<\/strong>, and select the Product Label<\/strong>\u00a0card.<\/li>\n
              2. Click Add Template<\/strong>, or click Copy<\/strong> on an existing template to modify it instead of starting from scratch.<\/li>\n
              3. Enter the template name in the Template<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
              4. Set the label dimensions: From the paper size list, select Other<\/strong>, enter the width (W<\/strong>) and height (H<\/strong>) in centimeters according to your label paper size, then click Set<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
              5. To adjust the margins, click More settings<\/strong>, then Margins<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
              6. From the Select placeholder<\/strong> list, add the required data. The most important fields are Barcode Image<\/strong>, Product Barcode Number<\/strong>, Product Name<\/strong>, and Product Unit Price<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
              7. Format the data using the toolbar (font, size, bold, and alignment). You can resize the barcode image by dragging its edges.<\/li>\n
              8. Click Preview<\/strong> to review the layout, then click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
              9. To make this the default template, click Set as Default<\/strong> next to it in the template list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Editing Notes and Adding a Name or Date to the Barcode Label<\/h3>\n

                The barcode image itself contains only the lines. All text displayed around it (the number, name, price, and notes) comes from the label template. To edit this information:<\/p>\n

                1. Open Product Labels<\/strong>, then click Edit<\/strong> next to the template in use.<\/li>\n
                2. To edit fixed text or a note, enter or modify it directly in the editor (for example, \u201cValid for 6 months\u201d or \u201cMade in \u2026\u201d).<\/li>\n
                3. To add the product name, select Product Name<\/strong> from Select placeholder<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                4. To add a date, select Current Local Date<\/strong> (the printing date), or add tracking data to display the expiration date for products tracked by expiration date.<\/li>\n
                5. To add your business name, select Business Name<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
                6. To display the barcode number below the image, add Product Barcode Number<\/strong> beneath Barcode Image<\/strong>.<\/li>\n

                  Step 4: Print Barcode Labels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

                  From the Product Page<\/strong><\/td>\nOpen the product, click Voucher<\/strong>, and select the label template. If the product has a barcode for each unit, a page with a separate tab for each barcode appears.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                  From the Products List<\/strong><\/td>\nSelect the products, then choose Print PDF<\/strong> and the template from Actions<\/strong>. One label is printed for each product.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                  From a Purchase Invoice or Inventory Requisition<\/strong><\/td>\nOpen the document and click PDF<\/strong> Barcode<\/strong>, then select the Template<\/strong>. The items and their quantities appear automatically (one label per unit).                   A PDF file is generated with one label per page, using the template dimensions. Print it using a label printer.<\/p>\n

                  Why doesn’t the barcode number appear below the image?<\/h3>\n

                  The product does not have a barcode. Add a barcode number or generate one automatically.<\/p>\n

                  How can I print multiple labels for the same product?<\/h3>\n

                  Print from a purchase invoice or inventory requisition using the PDF <\/strong>Barcode<\/strong>\u00a0button, and specify the required quantity for each item.<\/p>\n

                  Why can’t my barcode scanner read the label?<\/h3>\n
