You can set default taxes for products and services that allow you to assign tax automatically<\/strong> to new products and services without having to reassign them from the Tax1<\/strong> or Tax2<\/strong> field when adding a new product or service.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  1. From the main menu, click on \u201cInventory\u201d,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Click on \u201cInventory and Products Settings\u201d,<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Choose \u201cProduct Settings<\/strong>\u201c,<\/li>\n
  4. Under the \u201cDefault System Taxes\u201d <\/strong>section you\u2019ll find.\n

    • Default Tax 1:<\/strong> Select a tax that will be assigned to the product or service file and added to the product\u2019s price during the creation of sales and purchase invoices.<\/li>\n
    • Default Tax 2:<\/strong> Select a tax that will be assigned to the product or service file and added to the product\u2019s price during the creation of sales and purchase invoices.\n

      • If you are using only one type of tax, in this case, you should leave the second tax field empty so that the tax value is not added twice to the product or service price.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Click on the \u201cSave\u201d<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Note: After activating the default taxes for products and services, it will only affect new products. It will not affect old products unless you perform an \u201cEdit\u201d<\/strong> and then \u201cSave\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 again.<\/em><\/p>\n
