You may need to import journal entries from a ready Excel file, such as when you receive accounting entries from an external accountant or when migrating data from another accounting system. To simplify this process, the system provides a direct journal entry import feature, helping you save time and reduce errors.<\/p>\n

Steps to Import Journal Entries:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. From the main menu, click “Accounting<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  2. Go to “Journal Entries<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  3. Click the “Import”<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
  4. Click “Choose File<\/strong>” and select the journal entries file you want to import.<\/li>\n
  5. Select the delimiter “Comma Separated<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  6. Import First Row:<\/strong> Enable this option if the file does not contain column headers.<\/li>\n
  7. Entry Status:<\/strong> Choose whether the entry should be imported as “Issued<\/strong>” or “Draft<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  8. Generate Entry Numbers Automatically:<\/strong> Enable this option if you want the system to generate journal entry numbers automatically during import.<\/li>\n
  9. Click “Next Step<\/strong>“.<\/li>\n
  10. Match the system fields with the fields in the uploaded file.<\/li>\n
  11.
