Next, click the \u201cSet Up Attendance Mobile App\u201d button and scan the barcode from the employee\u2019s phone app to open the ESS app for them. Alternatively, the employee can log in using email and password if they are a user.<\/p>\n<div class=\"vc_message_box vc_message_box-3d vc_message_box-rounded vc_color-alert-info\">\n<p>You can review the difference between an employee and a user in Daftra through: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/tutorial\/difference-between-employees-and-users\/\">What is the difference between an employee and a user in Daftra?<\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>After the employee opens their ESS app and logs in, a screen appears containing the employee\u2019s name, date, time, and a\u00a0<strong>\u201cSign\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n<p>If there are no attendance criteria for the employee, they can record their attendance simply by clicking the\u00a0<strong>\u201cSign\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0button.<\/p>\n<p>However, if there are attendance restrictions, such as taking a photo or verifying the geographical location, the criteria will appear after clicking the button.
