Template Language<\/strong> is a setting in each printable template that sets the language of the currency name in documents printed with that template, regardless of your account\u2019s system language. If you select English<\/strong>, the currency name appears in English, and if you select Arabic<\/strong>, it appears in Arabic. This guide explains how to set the template language and how the language of existing templates was set before the setting was added.<\/p>\n

    Setting the language of invoice, estimate, and purchase invoice templates<\/h2>\n

    1. Open Templates<\/strong> \u2192 Printable Templates<\/strong><\/a>, then click Invoices & Estimates<\/strong> or Purchase Invoices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. Click New Layout<\/strong> and choose a starting design, or open an existing template for editing.<\/li>\n
    3. In the Template Details<\/strong> tab, select English<\/strong> or Arabic<\/strong> from the Template Language<\/strong> field. Below the field, you\u2019ll see: The currency name will appear in the selected language.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Note:<\/strong> The Template Language<\/strong> field is required in invoice, estimate, and purchase invoice templates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

      Setting the language of other printable templates<\/h2>\n

      Such as Expenses<\/strong>, Incomes<\/strong>, Client Payments<\/strong>, and Supplier Payments<\/strong> templates:<\/p>\n

      1. Open Templates<\/strong> \u2192 Printable Templates<\/strong><\/a>, then click the template type, such as Expenses<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. Click Add Template<\/strong>, or open an existing template for editing.<\/li>\n
      3. Select English<\/strong> or Arabic<\/strong> from the Template Language<\/strong> field next to the template name.<\/li>\n
      4. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        From then on, any document you print with this template shows the currency name in the selected language.<\/p>\n

        Language of templates that existed before the update<\/h2>\n

        The system set the language of existing templates automatically, once, when the setting was added, based on the text written in each template:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
        Template content<\/th>\nTemplate language set<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n
        Contains Arabic characters<\/td>\nArabic<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        Contains Latin characters only<\/td>\nEnglish<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        Contains no text, or its language is unclear<\/td>\nThe system language of your account<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

        You can change the set language at any time from the Template Language<\/strong> field when editing the template.<\/p>\n

        The currency name appears in English in an Arabic document, or in Arabic in an English document.<\/td>\nThe template used for printing is set to the other language, for example, because of the automatic language setting of existing templates.<\/td>\nOpen the template for editing, select the correct language from Template Language<\/strong>, then click Save<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
        You changed the system language, but the currency name language in printouts didn\u2019t change.<\/td>\nThe currency name language follows the template language, not the system language.<\/td>\nChange the Template Language<\/strong> itself from the template edit screen.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

        FAQs<\/h2>\n

        Does the template language change when I change the system language?<\/h3>\n

        No. The template language is a separate setting in each template and doesn\u2019t follow your account\u2019s system language.<\/p>\n

        Does the template language translate all the template text?<\/h3>\n

        No. It only sets the language of the currency name. The rest of the template text appears as you wrote it in the design.<\/p>\n

        Do fixed currency symbols change based on the template language?<\/h3>\n
