    • To view the certificate: the View All Payment Certificates<\/strong> or View His Own Payment Certificates<\/strong> permission.<\/li>\n
    • To approve, reject, and undo approval: the Approve & Reject Payment Certificates<\/strong> permission.<\/li>\n
    • To invoice the certificate: the Invoice Payment Certificates<\/strong> permission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Opening the Payment Certificate Page<\/h2>\n

      • From the main menu, click Construction<\/strong> \u2192 Payment Certificates<\/strong>, then open the certificate.<\/li>\n
      • Or from the project page, open the Payment Certificates<\/strong> tab, then open the certificate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Clone<\/strong><\/td>\nCreates a new copy of the certificate. It appears in an approved, invoiced, or rejected certificate, if the contract is active and you have permission to add payment certificates.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
            Printables<\/strong><\/td>\nPrints or exports the certificate.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
            Send Email<\/strong><\/td>\nSends the certificate to the client.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
            Issue Reverse Certificate<\/strong><\/td>\nAppears in an invoiced certificate, to issue a certificate with the returned quantities of its items.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
            Delete<\/strong><\/td>\nDeletes the certificate.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

            You can’t issue a reverse certificate in the following cases, and a message explains the reason:<\/p>\n

              \n
            • The certificate is fully reversed: Payment Certificate is already fully reversed, you can’t issue another reverse certificate<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • A certificate was issued after the current one: Another payment certificate was issued after the current certificate, you can’t issue reverse certificate<\/strong><\/li>\n
            • An issued reverse certificate is not approved yet: Another reverse certificate is still issued on Payment Certificate #(number), to create a new reverse certificate, you need to delete or approve the existing one.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Approve<\/strong><\/td>\nAre you sure you want to approve Payment Certificate #(number)?<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
              Reject<\/strong><\/td>\nAre you sure you want to reject Payment Certificate #(number)? Rejected payment certificates can’t be revoked<\/strong>, with entering the rejection reason.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
              Edit<\/strong><\/td>\nIn an approved, invoiced, or rejected certificate: You can’t edit a payment certificate with ‘(status)’ status<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
              Delete<\/strong><\/td>\nThis will permanently delete Payment Certificate #(number). Project quantities, work item progress, and the contract’s advance payment recovery capacity will be restored. This action cannot be undone. Do you want to proceed?<\/strong> In an invoiced certificate, the message states that the linked invoice and its journal entry will also be deleted.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

              You can’t delete the certificate in the following cases, and a message explains the reason:<\/p>\n

                \n
              • A certificate was issued after it: Payment Certificate #(number) cannot be deleted because Payment Certificate #(number) was created after it. Delete the newer certificate first.<\/strong><\/li>\n
              • A reverse certificate exists on it: Payment Certificate #(number) cannot be deleted because Reverse Payment Certificate #(number) exists. Delete the reverse certificate first.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Advance Payment Recovery<\/strong> is calculated based on the contract Recovery Plan<\/strong> type:<\/p>\n

                      • Percentage<\/strong>: the plan rate \u00d7 Net Amount.<\/li>\n
                      • Installments<\/strong>: the advance payment amount \u00f7 the number of installments, up to the Net Amount.<\/li>\n
                      • The recovery doesn’t exceed the advance payment remaining unrecovered in previous certificates. If the contract has no advance payment or recovery plan, the recovery is 0.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        FAQs<\/h2>\n

                        Why does the Issue Reverse Certificate button not appear?<\/h3>\n

                        Because it appears only in an invoiced certificate, for users with permission to add reverse certificates.<\/p>\n

                        Why does the Clone button not appear?<\/h3>\n
