The names of production operations that make up a production routing may resemble the names of some of your workstations. However, functionally, there are fundamental differences between production routings and workstations.<\/p>\n

Production routings<\/strong>\u00a0serve a categorization purpose; they allow you to allocate each expense to the production operation that incurred it. This classification appears in reports, helping you analyze and understand your expenses by organizing them systematically.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, workstations<\/strong> represent actual manufacturing stages responsible for specific operations. These operations generate costs calculated based on the runtime consumed for each manufacturing order that requires the workstation. Additionally, workstations bear wages, asset depreciation costs related to the manufacturing process, and all other expenses resulting from their activities.<\/p>\n
