A field is hidden from an employee when the workflow type’s advanced permissions<\/strong> don’t allow them to view, add, or edit it. The reason depends on where the field is missing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

View<\/strong> isn’t selected for the field in Field-Level Restriction Add, View & Edit<\/strong>.<\/td>\nThe field doesn’t appear in the records list, the record page, exports, or reports.<\/td>\nSelect View<\/strong> for the field in the rule.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Add<\/strong> isn’t selected for the field.<\/td>\nThe field appears on the record page but not in the add form.<\/td>\nSelect Add<\/strong> for the field.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Edit<\/strong> isn’t selected for the field.<\/td>\nThe field appears on the record page but not in the edit form, and keeps its current value.<\/td>\nSelect Edit<\/strong> for the field.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
The employee has a rule under their own name that differs from their role’s rule.<\/td>\nThe field appears for colleagues in the same role but not for them.<\/td>\nEdit the rule under their name, or delete it so their role’s rule applies.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n

Note:<\/strong> To edit the rule, open Workflow Types<\/strong><\/a>, click the options button (\u2026) on the workflow type card, then select Manage Permissions<\/strong>. In the Field-Level Restriction Add, View & Edit<\/strong> section, update the Fields Users Can Add, View or Edit<\/strong> table, then click Save<\/strong>.
