The invoice creator<\/strong> cannot be edited for any user, including the account owner; the system records it automatically in the name of the user who created the invoice, and it appears\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 on the invoice page as Created By<\/strong>, and in Manage Invoices<\/strong><\/a> in the Added By<\/strong> column and filter.<\/p>\n

Notice:<\/strong> The invoice creator isn’t the salesperson (the seller)<\/strong>. The salesperson is an independent field that can be changed from editing the invoice with the permission Change Salesperson<\/strong>, but it doesn’t change who created the invoice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How it’s determined<\/strong><\/td>\nAutomatically as the current user when the invoice is created.<\/td>\nBy default the current user, and it can be chosen when creating or editing, or Multiple<\/strong> to specify a salesperson for each line.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Can it be edited?<\/strong><\/td>\nNo<\/strong>, there is no screen, permission, or setting to change it.<\/td>\nYes<\/strong>, from editing<\/strong> the invoice for whoever has the permission Change Salesperson<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
What it depends on<\/strong><\/td>\nThe permissions Edit & Delete Own Invoices<\/strong> and adding payment operations to own invoices, and the invoice appearing to whoever has the permission to view own invoices.<\/td>\nSales commissions and the salesperson reports, and the invoice appearing to whoever has the permission View Own Invoices<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
