{"id":147501,"date":"2026-10-13T07:52:49","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T07:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=147501"},"modified":"2026-10-13T07:53:21","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T07:53:21","slug":"what-is-the-permission-to-exceed-the-contracted-quantity-and-when-is-it-used","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/faq\/what-is-the-permission-to-exceed-the-contracted-quantity-and-when-is-it-used\/","title":{"rendered":"What Is the Permission to Exceed the Contracted Quantity, and When Is It Used?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"82\" data-end=\"302\">The <strong data-start=\"86\" data-end=\"139\">\u201cExceed Contract Quantity in Payment Certificate\u201d<\/strong> permission allows you to enter an executed quantity in a payment certificate that is greater than the quantity agreed upon in the contract for the same work item.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"337\"><strong data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"337\">When is it specifically used?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"339\" data-end=\"699\">In the <strong data-start=\"346\" data-end=\"355\">\u201cNew\u201d<\/strong> field within the payment certificate\u2019s work item table, when entering the currently executed quantity for a specific work item, the System adds this quantity to any quantities executed previously (from previously <strong data-start=\"569\" data-end=\"583\">\u201cApproved\u201d<\/strong> or <strong data-start=\"587\" data-end=\"601\">\u201cInvoiced\u201d<\/strong> payment certificates) and compares the total with the contracted quantity for the same work item.<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"1203\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1lruyjo\" data-start=\"701\" data-end=\"1035\"><strong data-start=\"703\" data-end=\"730\">Without this permission<\/strong>: If the total (new + previous) exceeds the contracted quantity, the System prevents you from proceeding and displays the following message: \u201cThe total executed quantity of work item \u2018[Work Item Title]\u2019 #[Code] exceeds the contracted quantity.
