{"id":147438,"date":"2026-10-13T07:37:23","date_gmt":"2026-10-13T07:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=147438"},"modified":"2026-10-13T07:37:45","modified_gmt":"2026-10-13T07:37:45","slug":"why-cant-the-projects-title-be-edited","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/faq\/why-cant-the-projects-title-be-edited\/","title":{"rendered":"Why can&#8217;t the project&#8217;s title be edited?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>&#8220;Project Title&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field can&#8217;t be edited if the project is already linked to any of the following entities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>cost sheet<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>quotation<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A <\/span><b>contract<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this case, the title field becomes <\/span><b>permanently disabled for editing<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, since the title is used to name the <\/span><b>cost center<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> automatically created for the project, and the existence of financial or operational records already linked to it prevents changing it, to ensure <\/span><b>consistency of numbers and reports<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> between the project, its cost center, and its linked records.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> the same restriction also applies to the <\/span><b>&#8220;Client&#8221;<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> field \u2014 it can only be edited if the project has <\/span><b>no<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cost sheet, quotation, or contract linked to it.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":39,"template":"","categories":[15599,16098],"tags":[17831,17834,17829,17833,17835,17832,17830,17828],"class_list":["post-147438","faq","type-faq","status-publish","hentry","category-construction","category-projects","tag-can-i-change-a-projects-name","tag-cost-center-consistency-with-the-project","tag-disabling-the-project-title-field","tag-editing-the-client-field-on-a-project","tag-project-editing-restrictions","tag-project-linked-to-a-quotation-or-contract","tag-project-title-linked-to-a-cost-sheet","tag-why-cant-the-projects-title-be-edited"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Why can&#039;t the project&#039;s title be edited?
