{"id":144790,"date":"2026-09-13T13:15:56","date_gmt":"2026-09-13T13:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=144790"},"modified":"2026-09-13T13:16:25","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T13:16:25","slug":"what-data-is-required-for-a-client-to-comply-with-zatca-requirements","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/faq\/what-data-is-required-for-a-client-to-comply-with-zatca-requirements\/","title":{"rendered":"What data is required for a client to comply with ZATCA requirements?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The system automatically detects the client type (Business or Personal) directly from the client linked to the invoice and applies the appropriate validation rules for each type when the invoice is sent to ZATCA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Business clients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A VAT Registration Number or a Commercial Registration \/ Unified Number (C.R) is required \u2014 either one on its own is enough, and having both is fine too.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Business Name and Country are always mandatory.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the business client is outside Saudi Arabia, the system displays one or two local tax-identifier fields whose label changes automatically based on the selected country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Personal (individual) clients:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No Commercial Registration or VAT number is needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the client&#8217;s country is Saudi Arabia, a single field labeled &#8220;Unified Number&#8221; appears, accepting one of three formats: <\/span><b>10 digits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Commercial Registration or National ID), <\/span><b>15 digits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (Tax Number), or a <\/span><b>passport number<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the client&#8217;s country is not Saudi Arabia, no tax-identifier or ID field is shown at all.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":39,"template":"","categories":[8122],"tags":[14510,14514,14512,14508,14511,4228,14513,14509,13606],"class_list":["post-144790","faq","type-faq","status-publish","hentry","category-e-invoicing-saudi-arabia","tag-c-r-unified-number","tag-how-do-i-add-zatca-compliant-individual-client-data","tag-national-id","tag-required-client-data-for-business-and-individual-clients","tag-tax-number","tag-vat-number","tag-what-data-is-required-to-send-an-e-invoice-for-a-business-client","tag-zatca-client-requirements","tag---c-r-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>What data is required for a client to comply with ZATCA requirements?
