{"id":140740,"date":"2026-07-21T07:20:47","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T07:20:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/?post_type=faq&#038;p=140740"},"modified":"2026-07-21T07:20:47","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T07:20:47","slug":"why-doesnt-m-pesa-appear-as-a-payment-method-on-invoices","status":"publish","type":"faq","link":"https:\/\/docs.daftra.com\/en\/faq\/why-doesnt-m-pesa-appear-as-a-payment-method-on-invoices\/","title":{"rendered":"Why doesn&#8217;t M-PESA appear as a payment method on invoices?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\">There are several possible reasons M-PESA may not be showing up as a payment option:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Account country:<\/strong> M-PESA is only available for accounts registered in Kenya \u2014 if your account country is not Kenya, M-PESA will never appear regardless of any other setting.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Plugin not activated:<\/strong> The M-PESA plugin must be activated from App Management or the App Marketplace for it to appear as a payment method.<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Credentials not saved:<\/strong> Even if the plugin is activated, M-PESA will not appear on invoices until Daraja credentials have been saved successfully.
